Welcome!

The Seniors at Brushy Creek are known as the "Keenagers".  Our desire is to help in the challenging stage of life known as the “golden years”.  We focus on ministry, encouragement, and fellowship for those retired or semi-retired, widowed and couples.

Our Purpose
Our purpose can be summed up by one of our favorite Bible verses:

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”  Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV) 

To do this we provide small group Bible study and fellowship opportunities that encourage love for God and one another. 

More specifically, we meet this challenge by having a fellowship activity every month.  Most of these activities are held in our Christian Life Center, while others are at interesting sites nearby. Throughout the year we attend Senior Adult conferences, and seminars.  We have three major Banquets with guest speakers / entertainers.  We also have one “big” trip each year, (we have recently enjoyed the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Cape Cod, and Niagara Falls just to name a few).  All of these activities are provided for extended fellowship, fun, encouragement, witnessing, and teaching.  Also our R.O.M.E.O. s   - (Really Old Men Eating Out) and our J.U.L.I.E.T. s  - (Just Us Ladies Innocently Eating Together)  have periodic fun activities, meals out, and day trips.

Service Opportunities
We serve and minister throughout our church and body of Christ with various opportunities that are not necessarily just Senior Adult:   Joy boxes.  Homes with a Heart.  Hope Women’s Center.  Mary’s House.  Church-wide visitation.  Ministering to our shut-ins by cards, calls, and visits.  Compassion teams.  We encourage you to join today and participate in this very active ministry “The Keenagers”
