Originally from Jonesville, SC, Pastor Jim joined Brushy Creek as Senior Pastor in August of 2006. Through his leadership we have begun to experience a taste of what God has in store for Brushy Creek. His expository style of preaching will lead you to a deeper understanding of the Bible and how it applies to your life today. Pastor Jim received his BS degree from Newberry College before surrendering his life to the call to preach. He received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary before getting his Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary.

Pastor Jim and his wife Ethel have two beautiful daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and eating cheeseburgers.

Bobby is originally from Hendersonville, NC.  He accepted Christ as his Savior in 1979, the same year he received a BS Degree from NC State. Bobby joined the staff of Brushy Creek in 2007 as Associate Pastor of Education.

Bobby and his wife Donna have three beautiful daughters. He enjoys playing golf, watching baseball and his favorite show, 24.

Donna is originally from Birmingham, AL where she attended the University of Alabama. In 1989 she moved to Charlotte, NC to work as a flight attendant for USAir. While in Charlotte, she met her future husband Jay (not on a flight by the way) and was married in 1991. They moved to Easley in 1992 due to a transfer for Jay. God moved the Bryans to Brushy Creek shortly after moving them to Easley. They have two children, a cat, and a new Golden Retriever puppy.

Donna has always volunteered in her church with nursery, Children’s and Youth departments. She taught 4 year olds at a private preschool for 8 years before joining the BCBC staff in 2007. Donna loves to travel. She has been to most states in the United States and has been to Europe several times.

Rodney grew up out west – Colorado, Kansas, and Texas before moving to SC in 1992. Rodney, a graduate of Independent Baptist College in Dallas, and Covington Seminary in Georgia, joined Brushy Creek in 1999 as Associate Pastor to Sr. Adults and Pastoral Care.

He and his wife Sheila have been married since 1983 and have three very special children. Rodney loves spending time with his family, watching and being a part in his son’s sports.

Nick, who just happens to be one of the youngest members of the BCBC staff, hails from Easley, SC. After graduating from Wren High School, Nick attended North Greenville University where he received his BA in Youth Ministry. This December he will complete his Masters of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Church Ministries. Following a grueling four years as an intern, he joined Brushy Creek as Associate Pastor to Students in 2006.

Nick married Alison in May of 2007 and are enjoying the joys of parenthood with their lovely baby girl. Nick enjoys playing golf, basketball and softball. His favorite possession: a nasty Boston Red Sox hat.

Mitch joined Brushy Creek in September of 2008 as the Worship Leader for the contemporary service. Mitch who is currently a student at North Greenville University has served as worship leader for a community church in Spartanburg, led worship for several summer camps as well as playing in Christian bands prior to joining Brushy Creek. 

Jimmy was born and raised in Easley, SC. After graduation from Easley High School, he attended Greenville Technical University where he received an AS Degree in Computer Electronics.

Jimmy served as a volunteer in the Media Ministry at Brushy Creek for several years before accepting the position of Associate Pastor of Media. As Media Pastor, Jimmy is responsible for all the audio, video, lighting, communications, IT, and other needs that the various other ministries have. Basically if you plug it in, he is responsible for it.

Chuck joined the Brushy Creek staff in March of 2010. This Atlanta native has ministered in churches in Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, Florida, and Virginia prior to coming to Easley. He is a graduate of Georgia State University (Bachelor of Music) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Church Music) and was called into the worship ministry as a junior in high school. Chuck loves the Lord Jesus and has a passion to worship Him.

Chuck and his wife Chris were married in 1977 and have been blessed with three children, a daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren. Chuck enjoys spending time with his family and loves college football. His favorite team is the Tigers . . . the Hampden-Sydney College Tigers, where his son Zeke serves as assistant football coach. Go tigers!
