Jimmy Walter Richey and Patsy Starnes Richey are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!

Jim grew up in the Grove Station Community and Pat grew up in Chesnee. During the time that Jim was finishing up his degree at Clemson, after 2 years of service with the US Army in Taiwan, he met Pat while she was teaching at Slater-Marietta High. They were married in Travelers Rest, SC. With Jim’s career as a Civil Service Electrical Engineer, they moved to Virginia, where both of their daughters were born; then to Georgia, where Pat returned to her teaching career after their youngest daughter was in grade school. The Lord saw fit to allow them to return to South Carolina upon retirement in 1991.
